When the final bill for an account is unpaid, eventually it will be sent to a collection agency. The agency will attempt to contact the accountholder and make arrangements for payment. Unpaid accounts can affect a customer's credit record. Customers are encouraged to work with the collection agency to clear unpaid accounts as quickly as possible.
Payments may be made to the Customer Service Center only when the customer is requesting utility service. Otherwise, payments must be made to the collection agency. Payment to the agency will facilitate the fastest update to the customer's credit record.
